He aha te mahi? What's the role?

 

As a member of the UK Sales Team, the Account Manager partners with the Market Manager & the local Sales Team in daily operational tasks & customer management to enable a high service level. This role supports with the Sales & Operations planning related tasks & projects and enables Zespri to achieve the expected growth at short, mid- and long-term in the region.

   

  • Contribution in delivering the volume & value growth strategy of the region: in charge of daily/weekly operational key tasks: forecasting, customer delivery plans, consolidation of the national promotional planning, loading plans per account & per week, control stock at daily level, product allocation per week per Account and similar. 
  • Customer Management:  grow the business with distributors and aligned retailers (1 or 2 smaller accounts) by developing long-term JBP (Joint Business Planning) together.
  • Be the Zespri “Ears & Eyes” in the market: observe and analyse what’s happening in the local market; reports and suggest possible actions and follow-up on the agreements.
  • To contribute positively as a member of the European Sales Team and develop beneficial & enduring relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

We are looking for a candidate who has over three years of experience in sales within the UK FMCG/produce sector, with a deep understanding of the UK retail business landscape. You will also have:

 

  • Hands-on experience with Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP), ensuring alignment between sales forecasts and operational capabilities.
  • An analytical mindset, leveraging data and insights to inform market strategies and drive decision-making.
  • A proactive problem-solving approach, adept at navigating challenges in a fast-paced environment, capable of working independently while contributing effectively within a team framework.
  • The proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Ability to work from home, preferably be based in South of England with some office days per month, and willing to travel within the region as required. 
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or similar.
