About The Role




This is a newly created role to generate the top-class digital marketing strategies and executions as the leading food brand, based in Japan. In this matured / competitive food category, Zespri keeps evolving the business – Digital is definitely one of the key growth drivers for us. We are looking forward to working with someone who are ambitious, strategic, and agile to lead this exciting area together with us.







1.    Develop, execute, and implement the best digital marketing strategies and programs together with diverse stakeholders (JPN brand managers, global digital team, privacy policy team, as well as external digital agencies) to maximize the impact of IMC and achieve business / brand growth
•    Partner closely with JPN Brand Manager (Consumer Marketing) to deliver a compelling campaign plans from digital perspectives. The person in this role leads generating digital marketing programs (digital paid media, Influencer, SEM, webpage, SNS, and digital contents) to boost / maximize the impact of campaigns which are developed by Brand Managers of each area (Consumer Marketing and PR), and continuously optimizing of these programs to effectively achieve the goals. 
•    Work closely with global digital team, privacy policy team, and external agencies to ensure feasibility and execution of each digital marketing plan and activity within budget and brand rules in timely manners
•    Support e-commerce strategy & plan development where relevant by collaborating with Brand Manager (Shopper Marketing) and Sales team. 

2.    Develop, execute and implement the strategies, frameworks, and investment principles of always-on owned media / contents which are best fit with the Japan market
•    Define owned media / contents metrics and success measures and align the best KPI with all key stakeholders.
•    Lead optimisation of each performance to increase effectiveness and efficiency of Zespri's owned media spending by tracking and reviewing KPIs regularly.  
•    Lead brand website brief and contents managements (including SEO activities) for Japan market in conjunction with Brand Managers as well as global digital team and external agencies
•    Lead brand SNS brief and managements for Japan market in conjunction with Brand Managers as well as global digital team and SNS and brand agencies. Our major SNS platforms are currently Twitter and Instagram - both of them are generating top-class user experience now, but we need to go to next level to further growth
•    Collaborate with the global digital team to develop the best owned media frameworks as the leading market of owned media in Zespri
•    Lead owned media analytic process to make the user experience better and to find key insights for Zespri brand from digital perspectives. 

3.    Own the local digital agencies relationship as well as supporting the global web system (AEM) agency relationship
•    Be the point of contact for local web/SNS agency. 
•    Coordinate agency reviews together with Brand Managers in each area.
•    Collaborate with the global AEM agency (with supports from our global digital team) to operate our brand website in AEM formats



Qualifications & Experience




•    At least 5 years’ Digital Marketing experience (including owned media managements) in B2C global company
•       Bachelor’s Degree
•    FMCG global company experience can be preferable. 
•    Digital Marketing activity project lead experience minimum 3 years.  Full agency control & internal process management experience are mandatory. 
•    Robust Experience in Web analytics is preferable. 
•    Quantitative and/or Qualitative market  research experience is preferrable. (At least the experience of joining such research projects is needed)
•    Experience in cross functional team is preferable. 
•    Experience or capability to work effectively with global/regional marketing team is mandatory. 
•    Team player, trustworthy, reliable with high attention to detail – needs to ensure activities are compliant with Zespri standards and guidelines 
•    Computer skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. 
•    Fluency in Japanese & English (both written and speaking) due to the nature of the job
•    Business English communication skill is mandatory due to the scope of the role
