He aha te mahi? What's the role?

 

This is a six-month fixed term Service Operations Specialist role, supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of digital services across the business. Working closely with stakeholders across APAC markets, you’ll act as a key link between the business and Digital - ensuring services are reliable, issues are resolved effectively, and opportunities to improve are proactively identified.

 

You will play an important role in creating a seamless service experience for end users, while strengthening vendor relationships and supporting operational excellence across the digital environment.

 

Key accountabilities include:

 

  • Act as the primary Digital contact for assigned APAC markets
  • Build and manage strong relationships with regional vendors
  • Monitor service performance against KPIs and SLAs
  • Escalate and resolve service issues, risks and delivery gaps
  • Support end users with responsive, high-quality technical assistance
  • Identify opportunities to improve service efficiency and outcomes
  • Contribute to onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Develop and maintain knowledge articles and operational documentation
  • Maintain accurate asset and service records
  • Support disaster recovery and operational continuity activities
  • Assist with cyber security reviews, audits and investigations
  • Coordinate hardware provisioning, installation and support
  • Support software licensing renewals and supplier management

You are a proactive and customer-focused professional who enjoys solving problems, building relationships, and improving how services are delivered. You bring a strong mix of technical capability and communication skills, and are comfortable working across both business and technology environments.

 

You will also bring: 

 

  • 3–5 years’ experience in service desk, desktop support, or infrastructure support roles
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capability
  • Solid knowledge of end-user devices, hardware, and desktop environments
  • Experience working with vendors and/or service providers
  • University or equivalent degree in the field of computer science, information science, management information systems (highly desirable)
  • Understanding of service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL)
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience documenting processes, knowledge articles, or system information
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications (ITIL, CompTIA, CCNA etc) are desirable
