He aha te mahi? What's the role?

 

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Operations Coordinator to join our team, reporting to the Korea Logistic Operations Manager in Korea. This role supports by overseeing warehouse and 3PL management, handling import goods, and coordinating monthly inventory reconciliation and logistics partners’ invoice payments. The primary focus is on supporting Zespri's sales and marketing initiatives by optimizing the delivery of high-quality fruit to Zespri's distribution partners and end consumers. The overarching goal is to bolster various quality and inventory programs with distribution partners, ultimately increasing the market contribution from the region to the overall business revenue.

 

This is a fixed term contract opportunity from Jan 2025 to Jul 2026.

 

Accountabilities

 

SAP Sales Order & Transportation Management in the SAP system

  • Periodically manage order replenishment cycle aligned with IBP by raising and allocating sales orders to meet the planned requirements for kiwifruits in the SAP system. Additionally, coordinate with New Zealand and Korea supply teams to ensure timely and in full delivery of orders. 
  • Manage SAP TM (Transportation Management) system, including delivery confirmations.
     

Customs Clearance coordination

  • Coordinate the documentation for the Customs Clearance process with Zespri Korea’s clearance agent to ensure a seamless clearance process for imported kiwifruit under Food safety requirements, foreign food facility, pest quarantine and organic certificate requirement. Work closely with the Operations team internally to proactively prevent  disruption of supplies.
     

Quality Management support & Reporting internally and externally

  • Coordinate the  quality inspection program and generate reports to support distribution partners with load out priority and manage quality claims from distribution partners
  • Share quality-related documents internally and externally.
     

Operations invoice and monthly inventory closing 

  • Coordinate the payment of invoices from Logistics partners and perform monthly inventory reconciliation in SAP
     

Support other Operations and initiative 

  • Provide support for various operational activities to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Assist with cross-functional initiatives and projects aimed at improving processes, efficiency, and collaboration across departments.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to align efforts and ensure timely execution of operational plans.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives by identifying gaps, proposing solutions, and driving implementation.
  • Support ad-hoc requests from the operations team, including troubleshooting issues and coordinating resources as needed.

We are looking for a strong team player who possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The Operations Coordinator will also possess: 

 

  • 3 years of combined experience in supply chain logistics operations, mainly focusing on warehouse management, 3PL management, and handling import goods.
  • Proficient in English and Korean language.
  • Ability to work independently and with stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • A good team player who demonstrates strong personal initiative and integrity.
  • Personal flexibility to manage or adapt to change, deal with ambiguity, and thrive in different circumstances or cultures.
  • Strong analytical skills for breaking down and understanding various forms of information.
  • Proficient in data handling with expertise in Excel, Power BI, SAP, or other ERP systems.
  • Financial understanding of operational activities
