Market Development Manager

What's the role?

Reporting to Regional Market Manager, the Market Development Manager role will be responsible for developing direct relationships with distributors for Zespri across Taiwan. This will include developing whole season plans and executing for distributors and fruit shop, monitoring the success of Zespri sales activities.

Responsibilities include: 

• Developing business objectives by setting season target and work closely with distribution partners to meet the sales objectives 
• Monitoring whole season in-market price and value chain 
• Managing top distributors and build deep relationship between Zespri 
• Partnering with the Marketing Manager to plan and develop season sales
• Working closely with the Taiwan team to respond to the changing trade, competitor, consumer and supply environment 
• Developing fruit shop program to enhance kiwifruit penetration and distribution 
• Analyzing, review and report on distribution activities and results

Who are you?

We are looking for a team player who has proven experience within FMCG industry and possesses exceptional relationship building abilities. The ability to thrive in a dynamic, changeable environment will be a key to success in this role and the our ideal candidate will have: 

• 5+ relevant experience in sales, marketing or operations.
• Experience in agriculture or perishable product sales (advantageous) 
• Fluent in both Mandarin and English with ability to communicate in Taiwanese a plus  
• Be degree qualified
