What's the role?

 

 

The Market Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth and increasing year-on-year sales volume/revenue and customer satisfaction. 
This includes developing and implementing sales strategies, setting sales goals, and monitoring performance. 
This role specifically builds relationships with key sales partners, such as wholesalers, fruit shop owners, and distributors, to execute strategies and support sales and promotional activities.

Other Responsibilities include:

  • Setting Sales Targets: work closely with distributors to set goals and key performances indicators. 
  • Sales Planning and Strategy: identify customer needs and developing strategies and operational supports to optimize market potential and increase sales.
  • Customer Relationship Management: build and maintain partnership with customers through regular sales meetings, conference and events. 
  • Forecasting and Analysis: analyze market trends, customer behavior, sales data, and value chain to identify areas of improvement. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Market Manager, Supply Chain, and Marketing team to respond to the dynamic market situation, competitors, consumers, and supply environment.
  • Projects: Lead the fruit shop program and other sales related program to increase kiwifruit penetration and distribution
  • Work with Global Sales of Excellence team to enable local execution

 

 

Who are you?

 

 

The Market Development Manager is someone who is capable to thrive within a complex and “fast-paced” environment, able to work collaborative across the function, and possess a high accountability and ownership.
The successful candidate will have:

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in sales, trade marketing, or operations.
  • Experience in agricultural or perishable product sales is a plus 
  • Fluent in Taiwanese and English Language due to the nature of the job
  • Strong communication skills with business background
  • Understanding fresh produces or perishable product business is a plus 
  • Strong knowledge and experience in customer relationship management 
  • Experiences to lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) is a plus
  • Good negotiation, planning, data analysis and target orientation
  • Strategic thinker with an analytical approach to sales
  • Ability to work independently to achieve goals
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point
