Reporting to the Head of Talent & People Experience, the Talent Management Lead is a newly created role which will be focused on developing and maintaining a strong and deep talent pipeline that meets the organisational needs for today and tomorrow.  With a focus on strategic development, continuous improvement and operational excellence, the Talent Management Lead will be involved in our end-to-end talent processes and find, build and unlock diverse talent to fuel our growth ambitions and make Zespri an irresistible choice for the best talent.  

 

Key Accountabilities include: 

 

  • Talent Strategy – driving the Talent and PEX strategy development with a specialty focus on the end to end talent strategy ensuring talent management practices are integrated and aligned to our culture, broader people plan and the organisational strategy. 
  • Talent Management Development – designing and implementing our talent programs with the  assessment and activation of three key components:  Organisational Needs, Individual Readiness, and Talent Acceleration.  
  • Succession Planning and Management - evolving the Zespri succession planning and management framework and working with People Business Partners and Leaders to be proactive in talent pipelining for critical roles as well as new and emerging capabilities required for our future. 
  • Talent Analytics - utilizing data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of talent management initiatives and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Team Leadership – contributing in the development of a values-driven, high-performing and engaged global Talent & People Experience team by providing vision and direction and inspiring and empowering them to succeed. 
  • Business Planning & Budgetary Management – supporting and delivering on the Talent & People Experience business plan on time and within budget

This is an awesome opportunity for a talent management expert to showcase best practices including talent acquisition strategies, talent management, talent development programs and EVP. Having experience working within global multi-national matrix organisations, you will also possess:  

 

  • An extensive knowledge of Talent OD related disciplines, functions, and how they operate and impact organisations specific people operating model and performance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and facilitating training programs and workshops
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify root causes of organizational issues and develop effective interventions
  • Knowledge of change management principles and the ability to navigate and manage organizational change
  • Exposure to leadership, preferably across multiple geographies  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to drive decision-making and measure the effectiveness of talent management initiatives
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines 
  • High level of professionalism and integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Business acumen, and commercially astute 
  • Strong cross-cultural competence
