He aha te mahi? What's the role?

As our Solution Architect, you’ll design scalable, secure, and future-ready digital solutions that support global operations and transformation. Working at the intersection of technology strategy, enterprise architecture, and solution design, you’ll ensure our digital ecosystem drives Zespri’s growth, innovation, and sustainability. You’ll collaborate with Product Owners, Business Leads, and Technical Specialists to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions, and play an active role in shaping our approach to innovation, automation, and simplification. 

Key accountabilities include: 

• Strategic Architecture & Planning:  Shape and maintain digital architecture that aligns with our business strategy, translating organisational needs into secure, modular, cloud-first solutions, and providing oversight to ensure projects are reusable and cost-effective.
• Solution Design & Delivery Enablement:  Collaborate across teams to design and deliver integrated digital solutions, assess options, lead architecture for systems and integrations, and drive modern automation opportunities.
• Governance & Standards:  Set and uphold architecture principles and standards, lead reviews, and ensure compliance with security and performance requirements.
• Technology Leadership & Innovation:  Stay ahead of digital trends, mentor technical teams, and advise stakeholders to foster innovation and build digital capability.

You’re a strategic thinker and digital design expert, passionate about building future-ready solutions. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy mentoring others. 

You will also meet the following criteria:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.  
• Proven experience in a principal or lead role, with deep subject matter expertise.   
• Advanced knowledge of enterprise service bus (ESB), API management, and integration platform architecture.   
• Exposure to emerging technologies such as AI/ML, IoT, blockchain, and advanced analytics.  
• Demonstrated ability to design solutions across core platforms including SAP, Microsoft 365, .NET, ServiceNow, CRM, and Adobe.  
• Strong understanding of event-driven architectures, real-time data processing, and streaming technologies.  
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as RPA, workflow engines, and process automation frameworks.  
• Familiarity with B2B integration patterns and electronic data interchange (EDI).  
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification (preferred but not essential).
