He aha te mahi? What's the role?
The Purchasing Team Lead is a global role, reporting to the Group Shared Services Manager. You'll be responsible for:
• Leading and governing Zespri's global purchasing processes across Direct, Indirect and Intercompany Purchase Orders.
• Managing the end-to-end purchase order lifecycle, ensuring strong controls, compliance and process efficiency.
• Overseeing global purchasing card and expense management processes, including reconciliations, reporting and user support.
• Delivering month-end and year-end purchasing accruals, reconciliations and reporting to support accurate financial outcomes.
• Monitoring aged purchase orders and credit card transactions, partnering with stakeholders to drive timely resolution.
• Leading global training and providing subject matter expertise on purchasing systems, policies and processes.
• Coaching and developing a Purchasing Officer while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the Purchase-to-Pay proces

With a background in purchasing, finance shared services or accounting, combined with proven leadership experience, you'll meet the following selection criteria:
• Experience in a purchasing, finance shared services or accounts payable environment within a corporate organisation.
• Proven people leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop and support team members.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
• Experience working with SAP or a similar ERP system and confidence navigating complex processes and data.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a global environment.
