The Maturity Clearance Support Team at Zespri is dedicated to managing and maintaining the Maturity Clearance System (MCS) and providing essential support to postharvest teams and growers during the harvest period. We are currently seeking a dedicated and proven leader to join us as the MCS Support Manager.


As the MCS Support Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the MCS Support Team and our service providers operate at peak performance. Your responsibilities will include:


  • MCS Administration & Management: Implement and manage robust processes for the administration and support of the MCS.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with postharvest teams and represent the Maturity Support team in industry groups and forums.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee daily operations, distribute workflows, and provide leadership and mentorship to the MCS Support team.
  • KPI Management: Ensure the team and service providers meet their KPIs, analyze reports and customer queries, and maintain KPI adherence.
  • Contract Management: Monitor and engage in contract management for service providers, including annual reviews with Legal and Procurement teams.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and address MCS process or system issues, recommend solutions in collaboration with the Global Technical and Quality team, and ensure data integrity.
  • Enhancements Delivery: Oversee the delivery of enhancements and seasonal rollovers related to the MCS.

You are a motivated leader with knowledge and experience in the Kiwifruit industry. Additionally, you possess:


  • Tertiary education or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to manage teams remotely.
  • Strong understanding of Zespri’s global supply position.
  • A minimum of 2 years in customer service and 4 years in managing teams of 4-5 staff.
  • Experience in vendor and contract management, and services procurement.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, SAP, CRM packages, SharePoint, and other administrative tools.
