Due to an exciting internal promotion, we are looking for a Group FP&A Manager to join our Financial Planning team. This is a critical role which involves leading successful analysis and reporting of organisational results to Zespri management, the Zespri Board and Board sub committees and the New Zealand Kiwifruit industry. This position will be seen as a subject matter expert in Group forecasting and the continuous improvement of associated Group forecasting and reporting tools.


Reporting to the Head of FP&A, the Group FP&A Manager will be dedicated to delivering accurate and well-explained forecasts & results. Challenging key assumptions, introducing new perspectives and ultimately lifting the quality of the decision making is critical to the success of this role.


Key Responsibilities include:

 

  • Producing, reporting, analysing and updating all aspects of the New Zealand supply forecast. This includes sales, direct costs, overheads, orchard gate return reporting and the Zespri Alternative Revenue Statement. The New Zealand supply forecast includes reporting and analysis at a Kiwifruit pool level.
  • Managing and developing a team of analysts to assist with the forecasting process.
  • Producing and updating pool policy and segment allocation documentation and related allocation models, reporting results and analysis to the Zespri Board, Board sub committees and industry bodies. 
  • Developing and maintaining financial reporting and financial analytics.
  • Supporting & assisting with ongoing accounting requirements for NZ and overseas based companies where required and is responsible for the financial planning year end process including producing and reporting the pool results.

We are seeking a proven People Leader who thrives on building strong relationships with all stakeholders. With a passion for process improvement, you will also have:

 

  • 7 + years relevant experience in a similar role within a commercial organisation
  • Experience with accounting software packages and forecasting tools
  • Exposure to a large ERP system (advantageous)
  • Advanced financial analytics/modelling skills, with ability to manage and manipulate large data 
  • Experience with Analytical and Business Intelligence Tools
  • Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
  • A super collaborative approach with solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Tertiary qualification in business, accounting or finance
