Kō wai mātou? Who are we?

Zespri is more than simply the world’s single-largest marketer of kiwifruit. We like to think of ourselves as fruit on a mission and as rebels with a cause: to help people, communities and the environment around the world thrive through the goodness of kiwifruit. We are proudly the world’s largest marketer of kiwifruit, selling kiwifruit in more than 50 countries. We work with around 2,800 New Zealand and 1,500 international growers and post-harvest companies to source the best-quality Zespri Kiwifruit which we supply through our distribution partners to wholesale and retail customers. We are one of New Zealand’s best-known international brands, dedicated to creating sustainable long-term value for growers.

He aha te mahi? What's the role?

As a Financial Analyst in our Financial Planning team, you’ll be at the heart of Zespri’s success—driving insightful analysis and reporting that influences decisions at every level, from senior management to the Board and the wider New Zealand Kiwifruit industry.

You’ll work closely with our Group FP&A Manager, taking ownership of forecasting corporate overheads and supporting the coordination and review of market fruit returns. Your expertise will help us deliver clear, accurate forecasts and empower our teams to make confident, data-driven decisions.

Collaboration is key: you’ll build strong relationships across market finance teams and business stakeholders, challenging assumptions and bringing fresh perspectives that drive quality outcomes. Your analytical skills and dedication to continuous improvement will help us refine our reporting tools and processes, ensuring we stay ahead in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the Forecast Cycle: Be the go-to expert for forecast guidance, budget setting, and employment model inputs. Support cost centre managers and finance teams in New Zealand and offshore, ensuring everyone has the insights they need to succeed.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Enhance our reporting and analytics capabilities, especially with SAP SAC, and contribute to global projects that shape the future of financial planning at Zespri.
  • Drive Strategic Analysis: Support long-term planning and deliver ad hoc analysis that informs commercial decisions and business growth.

Ko wai koe? Who are you?

  • You hold a tertiary qualification in business, accounting, or finance, and are CAANZ qualified (or similar).
  • You bring proven experience in a commercial environment, with advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, plus hands-on expertise with accounting software and forecasting tools.
  • Ideally, you’ve worked with large ERP systems, have strong financial analytics and modelling skills, and thrive when managing complex data and leading projects.
  • You’re a self-starter who’s passionate about continuous improvement—always looking for smarter, more efficient ways to work, and eager to take the initiative to drive positive change.
