He aha te mahi? What's the role?

 

Based in our Mount Maunganui office, our Finance Project Analyst (12 month fixed-term contract) will join an agile team delivering strategic finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives across systems, processes, and reporting.  

 

This role sits at the heart of how we evolve our global finance capability and will partner closely with global finance and cross-functional teams (including Digital, Supply Chain, & Sustainability) to turn complex challenges into practical, value-adding solutions.  

 

What you’ll be doing: 

 

  • Partnering with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into clear insights, actionable deliverables and recommendations 
  • Analysing large datasets to support decision-making, including scenario modelling and root cause analysis 
  • Providing leadership to deliver finance projects using Agile or Waterfall methodologies 
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams and tracking progress, risks, and outcomes 
  • Acting as a key connector between Finance, IT, and the business 
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes and systems 
  • Supporting change initiatives to embed new tools, reporting, and ways of working

We are looking for a commercially astute, curious thinker who enjoys working at the intersection of finance, systems, and business change. The successful candidate will also bring: 

 

  • Around 5+ years’ experience in a global finance environment within a large, complex organisation  
  • Strong understanding of finance processes, data, and system integration 
  • Experience working with large ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA highly desirable)  
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities 
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with data 
  • Strong communication skills - able to translate complex concepts for different audiences 
  • Experience and certification in Agile methodologies and practices  
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field, with CA (or working towards) preferred
