Zespri is embarking on a once-in-a-generation opportunity to re-engineer and simplify how the industry manages global fruit supply and provide returns back to growers. We are looking for a Business Transformation Lead who will play a central role in defining and achieving the target state business operating model to be enabled by Tranche 2 of the Horizon Programme. This position will be accountable for engaging key stakeholders across the Zespri business to determine and obtain agreement on the future operating model as well as define the transformed business processes to be systemised aligned to the agreed design principles. The scope will focus on three core programmes of work in sequential/priority order - Supply Chain Transformation, Grower Enablement, and Sales Transformation. 


Key Responsibilities include:

 

  • Working with the Business Lead and governance forums to agree business goals, objectives, and principles for determining the transformational outcomes of Tranche 2.
  • Aligning with the programme to enterprise strategy and ensuring global standards (as appropriate) are followed.
  • Creating and maintaining a high performing Business Transformation team for the duration of the Horizon Programme.
  • Successful and collaborative engagement of all associated business resources and stakeholders (including the Industry and Third Parties) relevant to the overall programme solutions.
  • Achieving endorsement of the programme’s Big Business Questions or Key Decisions that are dependencies for the design of programme solutions.
  • Ensuring the delivery of all related work on time and to a high standard in accordance with the respective programme and project plans and assigned tasks.
  • Managing business approval for all key business artefacts i.e. business process design, solution design, data migration, testing, user adoption and any other related  programme or project artefact.
  • Achieving the defined target business outcomes of each programme and project and the forecast benefits for each programme and project for the immediate post-live period through to any ‘handover to BAU’ that is required.
  • Managing business stakeholders to understand the impacts of requests, subsequent changes to processes and systems that affect them and their people during the design phases and again before it occurs via go-lives.

Our ideal candidate will have proven senior experience across Supply Chain/Operations functions. Having successfully managed large scale transformation operating model changes (including role changes, business adoption and benefits identification and management), the successful candidate will also possess:

 

  • Experience in leading a large-scale technology transformation project from a business perspective
  • Expertise in global senior stakeholder management to board level
  • A strong knowledge in the end-to-end supply chain and broader operational intersections and process, to identify shortcomings in our current processes and practices,
  • NZ Industry Experience desirable, preferably Kiwifruit or fresh produce
  • Exposure dealing across different geographies/jurisdictions
  • The ability to travel
  • A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Operations or Management
