He aha te mahi? What's the role?
The Trade Marketing Lead is responsible for Zespri brand and sales development across prioritized channels within the assigned market(s), driving sustainable and profitable growth through deep insight into shopper behavior, channel dynamics, and route-to-market structures. The role develops and executes integrated trade marketing strategies and activation plans that translate brand and commercial priorities into high-impact in-store and customer programs, and defines a longer-term vision for kiwifruit category growth in close collaboration with local Sales and Marketing teams and the Europe Trade Marketing team. Acting as the interface between Sales and Marketing, the role enables market strategy, commercial planning, and execution excellence across channels and customers.
In parallel with local responsibilities, this individual also leads key European Trade Marketing initiatives to support the implementation of the European 10-year strategy. Acting as a Centre of Excellence, the role champions European priorities in Shopper Marketing, Category Management, and Revenue Growth Management on behalf of the region, contributing best practices, thought leadership, and scalable approaches to strengthen trade marketing capability and performance across the region. Furthermore, the role represents European market needs within the Global Sales Excellence agenda, ensuring regional requirements are reflected in global priorities and supporting the effective regional implementation of prioritized global programs.

We are looking for an individual with 5-8 years of experience in Trade Marketing within the FMCG sector. You will also meet the following criteria:
- Fluency in Spanish and English language
- Excellent understanding of the Spanish and Portuguese market’s retail business
- Strong analytical skills to make decisions using data
- Strong commercial and financial awareness - able to track market trends and competitor information and identify business opportunities
- Pro-active and excellent problem-solving abilities
- Agile, flexible and able to work independently
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Travelling in the region will be required
