About The Role

Marketing Executive Iberica focuses on the Spanish and Portuguese market, to assist in the development of the Zespri brand and the sales support of the European market. The Marketing Executive Iberica's responsibilities include assisting in developing marketing activities, planning, running and monitoring BTL activities and key local marketing project developments.

This is a fix term opportunity from 24th//30th of July, with a 6 months contract. 

This will be achieved by:

  • Working with the Marketing Manager Iberia, European Marketing Manager and Iberia team in the execution and follow up of marketing projects and shopper marketing initiatives.
  • Assisting Marketing Manager Iberia in the definition, execution, and monitoring of the different marketing activities for Spain and Portugal. 
  • Coordinating and leading with local agencies and internal EU marketing team for PR, consumer BTL and own media touch points (Social media platforms management, website follow up for the market + micro sites, content strategy developments, HCP communication activities and manage data base).
  • Assist Marketing Manager in planning and monitoring local ATL marketing campaigns.
  • Analyzing market, consumer & shopper research and evaluating competitors rating reports.
  • Report back on marketing activities and marketing reports to internal stakeholders.
  • Creation of Purchase Orders for all market spending and monitoring invoicing status with external partners and internal team members.
  • Follow up of budget of BTL marketing initiatives.

Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with the marketing team in the definition, execution, and monitoring of marketing programs in Spain and Portugal. 
  • Assist Marketing Manager Iberia on the strategy formulation to build a lasting digital connection with consumers & shoppers and other audiences.
  • Open to learn about marketing activities in the fresh fruit business.
  • Manage and lead the definition, development, and coordination of the below the line activation plan (consumer / shopper / trade) and relationships with agencies (social media, PR, Influencers, HCP, Content strategy and Consumer sampling). 
  • Lead the development of Zespri’s digital communication for Spain and collaborate with marketing & sales teams to create landing pages and optimize digital user experience. 
  • Design, build and maintain our social media presence working close with the Social Media, Influencers and PR agencies. Supervise content on the company’s website and social media accounts. Monitor the ongoing brand presence on web & social media platforms.
  • Measure and analyze performance of digital marketing efforts in Spain.
  • Review marketing literature (brochures, press releases, content, etc.).
  • Analyze market research information and employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, etc.).
  • Involvement in the sales data analysis and market research from a consumer perspective.
  • Report back on the marketing activities and results to internal stakeholders (analysis & presentation).
  • Follow up of allocated budgets for assigned projects.
  • Close collaboration with the regional and local agencies involves in the projects. 
  • Initiate and contribute to ad hoc marketing projects and could be asked to provide temporary support in a different marketing area (e.g., by support another marketing team member during busy periods). 

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Graduate degree, preferably in marketing or a similar subject. 
  • Specialized training or experience in digital marketing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of marketing assistant experience (in FMCG, Consumer Products, Trade Marketing, or Retail is a plus). 
  • Valuable proven experience in online development (digital marketing, managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and/or display advertising campaigns and website analytics tools).
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, marketing computer software, and valuable knowledge of online applications (CRM tools, Online analytics, Google AdWords, etc.).
  • Previous experience working with SAP systems is a plus.
  • Fluency in Spanish & English (both written and oral).
  • Position located in Madrid, combining remote and office work location.
