What's the role?

 

This position is preferably intended for candidates belonging to Protected Categories with certification as beneficiary law 68/99 Art.1 (employment of people with disability).

 

We are looking for a Team Assistant to join us at KBC – a joint venture company 50% owned by Zespri and 50% by the New Zealand Institute for Plant and Food research. In Italy all KBC activities are supported by the Zespri Global Supply team.

 

The Team Assistant’s primary purpose is to provide a high level of administrative, secretarial and organizational support to the Kiwifruit Breeding Centre (KBC) team to allow for the effective and efficient functioning of the business.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Facility and Office Management - coordinate the Technical Site and other facilities, troubleshoot any potential issues & support the team to resolve them and purchase necessities for the office.
  • Administrative Support – including sorting incoming couriers and postage, ensuring contracts and payments are managed smoothly, ensuring purchase requisitions are created on time and accurately.
  • Project and Event Management – overseeing travel/accommodation coordination and supporting ZGS industry meetings, workshops, field days proposed by KBC.
  • Communication - supporting KBC/ZGS communication and act as a central point of contact and coordinate internal communications with the team.

Who are you?

 

To be successful in this role you will have strong organizational & time management skills and be able to prioritize effectively. You will also possess:

 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to this role.
  • Fluent in Italian and English both written and verbal, another language (French or Greek) is considered as an advantage.
  • Highly developed computer skills (Microsoft office, O365, MS Teams).
  • A valid drivers licence
  • A High School Diploma or University Degree
