Based in Ho Chi Minh, the Brand Manager will work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager, APAC South, the APAC regional team and the locally based Vietnam in-market team, with the long-term objective of growing the kiwifruit category and maintaining differentiation of the Zespri Brand to command a price premium.  

 

Develop and implement the annual Vietnam Marketing Plan

  • Create and execute a marketing plan that grows long-term consumer and shopper demand and supports Zespri’s business objectives, adjusting as needed for changing supply and trade conditions. term consumer and shopper demand and supports Zespri’s business objectives.
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of Vietnam marketing activities within budget, ensuring all work aligns with brand guidelines and local regulations.
  • Manage the full consumer and shopper touchpoint experience, including brand promotions, media, advertising creative, social media, PR, influencers, sampling, in store activations, POSM, packaging, e commerce branding, and trade marketing.
  • Plan and manage the A&P budget with relevant stakeholders to support brand building and sustainable sales growth.
  • Lead and coordinate agencies and external partners to deliver high-quality, cost-effective execution of the Vietnam marketing plan. quality, cost effective execution of the Vietnam marketing plan.


Drive Return on Marketing Investment and track and review success measures to increase effectiveness and efficiency of marketing activities.

  • Analyse, review, and report back regularly on assigned marketing activities and results to key internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Manage ROMI analysis and drive continuous efficiency & effectiveness.
  • Manage assigned budgets, forecasts & approvals, including liaison with procurement & legal for high investment projects. Deliver assigned marketing activities within the agreed budget.
  • Manage assigned Vietnam consumer/shopper/brand market research projects (with Market Research team) to deepen our consumer understanding and infuse the key learnings into the strategy & plan development.

 

Contribute to the development and implementation of Zespri’s strategies for Vietnam, APAC and globally.

  • Contribute to Vietnam strategy development, including 5–10-year strategy plans & annual market plans working closely with APAC strategy and cross functional team.
  • Communicate local issues and opportunities to other business stakeholders to ensure the local market perspectives can be considered in APAC regional and global strategy development.

We are looking for a strong team player who has at least 5 years in marketing campaign planning experience working in an international FMCG environment. Being highly adaptable with good communication skills will be the key to success and you will also possess:

 

  • Agency management experience is essential.
  • Experience as motivator/lead person on projects is mandatory.
  • Experience or capability to work effectively with global/ regional marketing team and cross functional team (sales/ market development and/ or supply chain/finance) is mandatory.
  • Experience in brand marketing or product management, across a broad set of marketing activities, within the Vietnam market.
  • Ability to present, influence & work effectively with various internal stakeholders (English and Vietnam language skills required)
  • Budget management experience & analytical skills
  • Quantitative and/or Qualitative market research experience is desirable.
  • High levels customer service, excellent time management skills, reliable with high attention to detail – needs to ensure activities are compliant with Zespri standards and guidelines.
  • Experience with SAP is an advantage
