He aha te mahi? What's the role?

 

Reporting to the Quality Claims Lead, the Quality Assessor is part of the European Quality team in Bologna. The role is responsible to carry out claim inspections across Europe with greater reference to Italy and neighbouring countries according to Zespri Global Procedures. The primary purpose of this position is to promote quality across the Customers in order to reduce the cost of Quality.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  

  • Inspections at customer level according to Zespri procedures
  • Collect results and feedback and maintain a good relationship with the customers
  • Schedule the visits to perform claim inspections
  • Provide information to the team such as quality results and reports of the inspections
  • Follow up and report on quality issues identified by outturn reports or customer complaints/claims if necessary
  • Assist in projects outside of the base of claim inspection, perform product audit and support quality team activities
  • Provide assistance to the wider ZGS Italy team when required.

We are looking for a true team player who possesses strong analytical skills and has working experience across quality inspection. With excellent attention to detail, the successful candidate will also have:

 

  • Agricultural or scientific background
  • Italian and English proficiency level - additional language a plus
  • A driver’s license to travel nationally and abroad (EU)
  • Flexibility to travel nationally and within Europe
  • Ability to embrace flexibility on work hours and availability by phone/email is required especially through the main season
  • Customer/External Focus: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding their quality needs and proactively offering solutions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, coupled with strong analytical thinking.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent writing, speaking, and accurate reporting abilities.
  • Problem-Solving: Actively seek additional information to gain a deeper understanding of issues and develop effective solutions.
