Based in Ho Chi Minh, we are seeking for a Assistant Shopper Marketing Manager to optimize long-term returns to growers and Zespri by developing and implementing marketing plans and campaigns to drive the sales of Zespri Kiwifruit in Vietnam. This position will support the Brand Manager, Vietnam, to grow the kiwifruit category and maintain differentiation of the Zespri Brand to command a price premium. This includes:
- Developing & executing shopper-facing marketing activities with excellence to deliver sales targets & marketing objectives in the evolving Vietnam market.
- Evaluating and responding to shopper insights, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Assisting with the implementation of other Vietnam marketing activities, as required.
- Supporting & collaborating on the marketing for other APAC markets, as required.
Core Responsibilities
- Support the Brand Manager - This includes working with the Market team to develop, execute, and optimize shopper marketing activities in Vietnam, and delivering a 5-year long-term shopper marketing strategy.
- Develop Shopper Marketing Strategy - This involves creating and executing strategies such as Channel Strategy, Price-Pack architecture, Package Design, In-store Promotions, POS materials, Fruit Sampling activities, and FMD.
- Marketing and Trade Activities - This includes developing and executing marketing and trade activities like activation, new product launches, consumer promotion, trade promotion, trade events/tours, and display programs in stores.
- Joint Business Planning - Contributing to joint business planning and top-to-top customer meetings led by the market development team.
- Retail Shopper Marketing Programs - Contributing to key account retail shopper marketing programs with the market development team.
- E-commerce Communication - Designing guidelines for shopper communication in e-commerce and increasing online visibility.
- In-store Sustainability Initiatives - Supporting in-store sustainability initiatives and understanding market, customer, consumer, and shopper requirements on sustainability goals.
- Shopper Research & Market Analysis - Assisting in managing market shopper research and developing market analysis using customer POS/sales data.
- Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI) - Managing the delivery of marketing activities within the agreed budget and developing ROMI processes.
- Other Marketing Tasks - Supporting other marketing activities assigned by the line manager and assisting in brand communication.
- Building Capability - Contributing to a winning sales & marketing team culture, building strong agency relationships, and fostering collaboration with the regional APAC team

We are looking for a strong team player who has solid working experience in the In-Shopper Marketing or Trade Marketing scene. Being highly adaptable with good communication skills will be the key to success and you will also possess:
- 3-5 years’ Shopper or Trade Marketing experience in FMCG.
- In-store Marketing activity project lead experience minimum 3 years. Full agency control & internal process management experience are mandatory.
- Robust Experience in POS analysis with strong analytical skill is mandatory.
- Experience in cross-functional teams (sales/market development and/or supply chain/finance) is mandatory.
- Experience or capability to work effectively with global/regional marketing team is mandatory.
- Experience working with retailers/distributors to implement instore marketing in Vietnam highly desirable.
- Quantitative and/or Qualitative market research experience is desirable.
- Fluency in Vietnamese & English (both written and speaking)
- Experience & knowledge about agriculture, fruit or other food businesses is an advantage.
- Experience with SAP an advantage
