The Trade Marketing Lead, Benelux is responsible for Zespri brand and sales development across prioritized channels within the assigned markets, driving sustainable and profitable growth through deep insight into shopper behavior, channel dynamics and route-to-market structures. The role develops and executes integrated trade marketing strategies and activation plans that translate brand and commercial priorities into high-impact in-store and customer programs, and defines a longer-term vision for kiwifruit category growth in close collaboration with local Sales & Marketing teams and the Europe Trade Marketing team. Acting as the interface between Sales and Marketing, the role enables market strategy, commercial planning and execution excellence across channels and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Sustainable Brand & Business Development
- Contribute to the definition of a longer-term category growth vision
- Work closely with the Market Manager and Europe Trade Marketing team to respond to changes
- Design and implement effective retailer and distributor engagement models
- Provide structured trade marketing guidance and input to local Sales & Marketing teams
Trade Marketing, Shopper & Category Strategy Execution
- Contribute to long-term JBPs with customers
- Build shopper and category understanding to define target shoppers
- Lead data analysis to generate actionable insights for commercial and marketing teams
- Manage agencies and external partners to deliver trade marketing programs
Regional Responsiblities
- Serve as the European center of excellence for selected elements
- Contribute to Global Sales Excellence initiatives

We are looking for a professional with 5+ years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, or commercial planning, ideally within a fast-paced environment such as fresh produce or FMCG. You will also meet the following criteria:
- Proven understanding of the Belgian and Dutch retail market.
- Proficiency in English and Dutch language to engage in local Dutch retailers; French language is an added advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing Agribusiness, or related field.
- Advanced skills in Powerpoint to prepare presentation decks for clients.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel to perform market data analysis.
- Proven track record of leading seasonal or campaign-based planning in complex, fast-moving markets.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in budget management, reporting, and customer investment planning.
- Solid knowledge of customer contracts, terms of sale, and customer funds governance.
