About The Role

Reporting to the Head of Digital Services ENA, and dotted line to the Solution Delivery Manager Supply Chain, the Functional Analyst is a key functional and technical position in the Digital Services team. The role is critical to enabling Zespri to continue its growth journey and deliver its 2030 objectives and beyond through:

• Design, implementation, and support of business application software including:
• S/4 Hana platform and Commercecloud
• Enabling cloud-based solutions and 
• Best-of-breed and/or bespoke developed applications such as Clarifruit and ETQ
• These skills will be applied to enable the Supply Chain and Quality business functions
• Business relationship and engagement within the assigned function(s)
• Management of roadmap for applications within the assigned function(s), assessing functional improvements for appropriateness to Zespri

The Functional Analyst will work closely with other members of the Global digital team and business subject matter experts to enable the business users to perform their roles efficiently and effectively. The role scope includes our European and North America's operations and the International Production division (ZGS), including integrations with our 3PLs. 

 

Accountabilities

Business Engagement

• Build relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate and enable optimal levels of solution design input and application management support.
• Provide global Business Process and technical guidance and advice about the relevant ERP application and the various supporting systems.
• Provide expertise and guidance to peers by facilitating a collaborative environment where ideas and viewpoints can be tabled and discussed and recommendations made to management
• Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings
• Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management

 
Business Analysis

• Collect user stories and/or business requirements to understand business problems that need to be solved and translate these into functional/technical specifications and/or configuration documents.
• Assessment through analysis of solution options to ensure that the identified solutions appropriately balance the specific business requirements and broader Zespri business needs as well as a balance between functional and non-functional requirements. This could include cost/benefit and ROI analyses.
• Provide support and guidance in the initiation and management of projects, this may require the individual to act as the Project Manager for specific projects.
• Provide support and guidance in the identification of change requirements, technical or procedural, as part of projects or enhancements, this may require the individual to act in a change management capacity for specific projects or provide knowledge transfer to stakeholders for modified and new systems. 
• Manage solution roadmaps and periodically assess functional improvements for appropriateness to Zespri. This may involve presenting findings to business stakeholders for their understanding and support.

 
 Systems Analysis

• Ensure that new or enhancements to existing solutions adhere to established architectural principles, standards, processes, and practices.
• Configure solutions in the appropriate platform to meet business requirements.
• Actively work to reduce customization within the Zespri core application landscape and associated systems reducing the cost and complexity of Zespri business systems. This could involve driving improved utilization of core applications across the Zespri business.
• Work with other Digital team members to resolve issues when solutions are not performing to acceptable service levels.  This could involve reviewing and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and developing strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of experience with functional analysis, designing, implementing or supporting (full life cycle) ERP environments.
• Proven Senior Functional Analyst experience in a supply chain and/or quality environment, ideally with an SAP or similar ERP background.
• Strong ability to analyze user requirements and build software applications according to requirements.
• Strong oral and written presentation skills (Business Cases, Specifications, etc….) across multiple levels of the organization
• Strong understanding of the different SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.) and the ability to work in any of the respective approaches.
• Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices
• Experience with one, or more of the following ERP and Cloud-based solutions S/4HANA, SAP Success Factors, C/4HANA, Commerce cloud, ETQ, Clarifruit, Microsoft Dynamics
• Experience delivering in a multi-national organization
• Experience in the delivery of Cloud Based Solutions (Success Factors, C/4HANA, etc) and other non-SAP best-of-breed solutions
• English + another language.
• The position is based in Belgium (eligibility to work in the country)
