The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for providing financial and strategic support, financial analysis, guidance, and insight to the Zespri business.  

 

Based in Antwerp, we’re seeking a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to act as the first point of contact for finance matters within your assigned business unit or function - partnering closely with teams to understand their needs, deliver insightful analysis, and enable effective decision-making. The Finance Business Partners guidance will help shape business plans and drive performance. 

 

Key Accountabilities include: 

 

  • Commercial Leadership & Functional Partnership - Provide commercial leadership and act as a key liaison between finance and business functions, guiding cost centre managers on forecasting and budgeting with a focus on data integrity. 
  • Trusted Business Partner - Serve as a trusted advisor who understands customer value drivers and Zespri’s financial structures, including grower/shareholder returns and profitability models. 
  • Strategic Alignment & Initiative Execution - Partner with function leaders to align finance support with strategic objectives and deliver initiatives that support regional plans. 
  • Performance Reporting & Insight Generation - Deliver financial analysis, performance reporting, and strategic insights to improve decision-making and support business planning. 
  • Profitability & Cost Optimization - Provide financial advice and analysis to enhance profitability, optimize costs, and support pricing and trade term decisions. 
  • Continuous Improvement & Simplification - Drive process improvements and reporting simplification by collaborating with stakeholders to implement best practices. 
  • Regional Support & Commercial Collaboration - Support the Commercial Manager in achieving regional goals through accurate reporting, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic growth initiatives.

We are looking for a strong team player who has a solid finance/background experience and wants to an impact within our business. By utilising your business partnering experience, you will also have:   

 

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills  
  • Proven track record of providing financial guidance and support to business leaders  
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously  
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting tools  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with business stakeholders  
  • Experience in the FMCG industry, with a focus on fresh produce or agriculture, is highly desirable 
  • A relevant Bachelors degree in either Finance or Accounting 
  • Ability to communicate well in English (both written and verbal) 
  • A team player mentality
