He aha te mahi? What's the role?

 

Based in our office in Antwerp, the Commercial Finance Manager will be responsible for leading a small team of Finance Business Partners (Supply Chain BP and Sales and Marketing BP) who provide financial and strategic support, financial analysis, guidance, and insight to the Zespri business.

Lead the Finance Business Partner team

  • Provide leadership through clear direction and the effective management of team workload;
  • Develop an empowered, highly skilled team by establishing development plans and learning opportunities.
  • Creating a consumer centric finance function with a value added mindset;
  • Have the ability to download, organise, model and report on complex data

Lead the partnering with function leadership (Sales, Marketing and Operations) to develop and execute initiatives consistent with the functional strategies and plans:

  • Lead engagement of business leaders to understand strategic objectives and align finance support to achieve delivery of these.
  • Lead the partnering with business teams to understand their goals and challenges, and provide financial and strategic support to help achieve their objectives.

Lead the provision of advice, guidance, analysis and insights through the Business Partner team to support the Function/s to improve profitability, increase revenue, decrease costs:

Lead the development, enhancement and maintenance of reporting of performance measures, provide insights that improve decision making:

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to the business teams to enable effective decision-making
  • Monitor and analyse key financial and operational metrics, and communicate trends and variances to the business team
  • Analyse and interpret financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop financial models to support business cases, commercial decisions, and strategic planning

Lead continuous improvement ethos and simplification within Function/s.  Develop, maintain reporting of initiatives

  • 10 + years of experience in finance with minimum of 3 years in commercial finance/FP&A, within a business partnering role
  • 3+ years of experience managing a small team
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with business stakeholders
  • Proven track record of providing financial guidance and support to business leaders
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and financial reporting tools
  • Experience in the FMCG industry, with a focus on fresh produce or agriculture, is highly desirable
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • A can-do attitude and strong focus on delivering priorities
  • Sense of urgency maintaining an organized and structured approach
  • The ability to work and succeed in a dynamic multicultural environment
